At BTGAMHS, our LGBTQ+ services provide safe, respectful care that honors your identity, relationships, and lived experience. We specialize in supporting lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, Two‑Spirit, non‑binary, and questioning (LGBTQ+) clients of all ages who may face stress, discrimination, or mental health challenges unique to their community.

BTGAMHS offers specialized, LGBTQ+‑affirming mental health services for individuals of all sexual orientations and gender identities. Our team provides respectful, culturally competent care that recognizes the unique challenges LGBTQ+ people may face, including discrimination, minority stress, and family or social rejection.
Our clinicians are trained in LGBTQ+ cultural competency, including:
We use evidence‑based approaches—such as cognitive‑behavioral therapy (CBT), supportive counseling, and trauma‑informed care—adapted to each person’s unique needs and goals.
All services are delivered in a non‑judgmental, trauma‑informed environment.
One‑on‑one therapy focused on identity, self‑acceptance, relationships, and mental health concerns such as anxiety, depression, trauma, or substance use.
LGBTQ+‑specific groups that provide connection, peer support, and shared coping strategies.
Help managing acute emotional distress, suicidal thoughts, or gender‑related crises with trained, LGBTQ+‑competent clinicians.
Assistance connecting with LGBTQ+ community centers, gender‑affirming medical care, peer networks, and other behavioral health or substance‑use supports.
Warm referrals to LGBTQ+ centers, medical care (including gender‑affirming care), and peer support networks.
LGBTQ+ affirming services are delivered by licensed behavioral health professionals, including:
Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW)
Licensed Professional Clinical Counselors (LPCC)
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT)
Other credentialed clinicians with additional training in LGBTQ+ mental health
All providers complete LGBTQ+ cultural‑competency training and follow strict confidentiality and anti‑discrimination policies.
