Justice Involved Service

BTGAMHS offers free, comprehensive behavioral health services for eligible individuals re‑entering the community after justice‑system involvement. Through the CCP‑Funded Grant program, in partnership with Solano County Probation, we provide mental health, substance‑use, and re‑entry support to help clients stabilize, heal, and build a healthier future.

Patient Referral

What this Service is for

Justice‑involved services are designed for:

  • Adults released from jail, prison, or on probation/parole who are eligible for CCP‑funded re‑entry services
  • Individuals living in Solano County who need support reconnecting to housing, employment, family, and community
  • Clients struggling with mental health, substance‑use, or past experiences of domestic violence or trauma
  • Those who need help meeting court or probation requirements while addressing their behavioral health needs

These services are free for eligible participants referred through Solano County Probation and the CCP‑Funded Grant program.

Types of Services Offered

All services are delivered in a non‑judgmental, trauma‑informed environment.

Mental health counseling

Individual therapy to address anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health concerns.

Substance use support

Assessments, counseling, and relapse‑prevention planning for alcohol and drug‑related challenges.

Domestic violence support

Trauma‑informed counseling and safety planning for survivors of intimate‑partner violence.

Family and group therapy

Support for clients and their families to improve communication, rebuild trust, and strengthen relationships.

Peer navigation & re‑entry planning

One‑on‑one peer support to navigate housing, employment, benefits, medical care, and community resources.

Court support and progress reporting

Assistance understanding court requirements, attending hearings (when appropriate), and submitting progress reports to the court or probation with client consent.

How we Help Justice Involved Clients

Our clinicians and peer specialists:

  • Work closely with Solano County Probation to coordinate care and monitor progress
  • Focus on harm‑reduction, safety planning, and relapse‑prevention tailored to each person’s risk factors
  • Emphasize strengths, accountability, and skill‑building for problem‑solving, emotional regulation, and healthy relationships

We help clients develop realistic goals for housing, employment, family reconnection, and community involvement, while supporting compliance with court or probation expectations.

Who Provides this Service

Justice‑involved services are delivered by:

  • Licensed behavioral health professionals (LCSW, LPCC, LMFT, and other credentialed clinicians)
  • Trained peer navigators with lived experience in the justice system or behavioral‑health recovery

All staff are trained in trauma‑informed care, cultural competency, and working with justice‑involved populations.

How to Access this Service

  • Talk to your Solano County Probation officer for a referral to the CCP‑Funded Grant program and BTGAMHS justice‑involved services.
  • Contact Verna Brooks, Community Care Lead Intake Case Manager, at 707‑774‑1463 to begin intake and scheduling.
  • Services are free for eligible participants and available in‑person and virtually, based on probation and grant requirements.
